Work Offline with iGEO

Working offline has never been an issue for iGEO users. This feature ensures that you can manage your services without interruptions, including the ability to clone inspections at checkpoints.

In this article, we’ll explore how iGEO’s offline mode works, the steps to use it, and the benefits it brings to your business operations.

How Does Offline Mode Work in iGEO?

This feature allows you to work at any time, regardless of your device’s network coverage. Your technicians will always be operational, and offline mode will grant access to all the necessary locations.

Here’s how to work with iGEO’s offline mode.

Step-by-Step Guide to Offline Mode

iGEO’s offline mode is designed to ensure technicians can continue working even without internet access. Here’s how it works:

  1. Activate offline mode: Go to the top-right menu, click on the three-line menu icon, and select the “Activate offline” button.

2. Download work orders: Open your daily schedule, locate the work order you need to complete without coverage, and click on the “Load WO for offline” button.

3. Perform the service without coverage: Once you arrive at the site, begin the service as you would in online mode. You’ll notice the coverage icon is now blank.

Fill out all required fields, clone checkpoint inspections, record all relevant information, and finally, complete the work order.

4. Deactivate offline mode when connected: After completing your tasks, return to the top-right menu, click Offline, and select “Deactivate offline” on the screen.

Benefits of Offline Mode in iGEO

1. Work continuity: Offline mode ensures that technicians can continue working without interruptions, even in remote areas or with connectivity issues.

2. Efficient data management: By enabling the cloning of inspections and the local recording of information, iGEO ensures no critical data is lost.

3. Automated synchronization: When you reconnect, all data collected offline is automatically synchronized, avoiding errors and duplication.

4. Time-saving: You don’t need to wait for a connection to perform your tasks, optimizing productivity.

5. Increased flexibility: With iGEO, you can work anywhere, anytime, without being entirely dependent on an internet connection.

Cloning Checkpoint Inspections

This feature allows you to duplicate data from one checkpoint inspection and transfer it to other checkpoints containing the same information.

Reminder: This feature does not replace automatic inspections but is only intended to speed up the manual inspection process for checkpoints.

After performing a manual inspection of a device, if you later find that another checkpoint is in the same condition, you can clone the inspection conducted on the first one.

How to Clone Checkpoint Inspections

  1. Perform a checkpoint inspection.
  2. Access the file for the inspected checkpoint, and in the “Inspections” section, click the corresponding button.

Select one or more checkpoints (of the same type) to transfer the inspection data from the first checkpoint to the others.

This makes cloning checkpoint inspections simple and efficient.
