Artificial Intelligence is no longer a distant promise or a trend reserved for major technology companies. Today, it is becoming a practical, useful and increasingly integrated tool in the day-to-day operations of service companies.
In the pest control and environmental health sector, operations are becoming increasingly complex. Companies need to manage routes, technicians, work orders, reports, documentation, customers, invoicing, service requests, control points, field data and operational decisions that cannot wait.
That is why, at iGEO, we are moving towards a new stage: from digital operations to intelligent operations.
From digitising processes to making them smarter
For years, digitalisation has enabled many companies to move away from paper, reduce their reliance on spreadsheets and centralise information on a single platform. This has been a key step towards improving internal organisation, reducing errors and gaining a clearer view of what is happening across every service.
But the next challenge is no longer simply about having data in digital form. The real progress lies in using that data more effectively.
Artificial Intelligence at iGEO is not being developed as an isolated feature, but as an integrated layer within the platform designed to support real-world workflows: planning, technical supervision, reporting, service visits, sales processes, administration, data analysis and user support.
The objective is clear: reduce repetitive tasks, improve operational control and turn everyday information into faster, more accurate decisions.
iGEO’s AI roadmap: a practical and progressive evolution
iGEO’s Artificial Intelligence roadmap reflects a clear move towards operations that are more agile, connected and data-driven. We are not talking about AI as an abstract concept, but about specific capabilities designed to solve real problems for pest control and environmental health companies.
This is the path we are building:
| Initiative | Status |
| Advanced intelligent route optimisation | Available |
| iGEO Hands-Free: voice-based monitoring | Enabled for beta customers |
| Automated technical reports | In development |
| AI Technical Manager (RTIA) | In development |
| AI-powered insights from connected data | Summer 2026 |
| Intelligent confirmation of scheduled visits | Autumn 2026 |
| AI agents for sales and administrative processes | Autumn 2026 |
| iGEO Help Desk | Enabled internally for the Italian market |
This roadmap reflects iGEO’s philosophy perfectly: integrating AI in a practical way, so companies do not have to worry about technological complexity and can simply use it to improve their daily operations.
Much more than finding the shortest route
One of the most advanced capabilities already available is intelligent route optimisation. Planning daily services effectively can make a significant difference to a company’s productivity: fewer kilometres travelled, less downtime, better technician allocation and greater profitability per visit.
But AI-powered route optimisation is about much more than simply finding the shortest route.
At iGEO, intelligent optimisation helps companies plan workloads more effectively, organise schedules and take into account locations, availability, team capacity and operational requirements. It turns daily planning into a more agile, efficient and profitable process.
When a company manages several technicians, multiple services and different geographical areas every day, having a tool that helps organise that workload can deliver a direct improvement in operational efficiency.
The AI Assistant for Technical Management Teams
Another major development on the roadmap is the AI Assistant for Technical Management Teams, designed to strengthen operational quality control.
In many companies, technical managers spend a significant amount of time reviewing work orders, checking documentation, identifying missing information, validating services and detecting issues that require attention. It is essential work, but it can also become extremely time-consuming as operational volumes grow.
The AI Assistant for Technical Management Teams is designed to support this supervision. Its purpose is to review completed work, detect missing or inconsistent information, prioritise critical cases and provide a clearer overview of the technical status of operations.
This may include identifying missing photographs, incomplete checklists, unsigned documents, inconsistent information or services requiring validation.
The aim is not to replace technical judgement, but to help managers focus on the cases that genuinely require their attention. In this way, technical management becomes a true operational quality control centre.
iGEO Hands-Free: capturing field information by voice
Field technicians need to stay focused. During an inspection, constantly stopping to type observations, enter data or record incidents can interrupt the workflow and increase the risk of important details being missed.
With iGEO Hands-Free, technicians can record information using their voice, without having to type everything manually during an inspection.
This functionality allows technicians to review control points, clone control-point inspections and automatic inspections, record products, add internal notes and include customer notes in service certificates. AI helps structure this information and turn it into useful data within iGEO.
The result is a smoother operational workflow: technicians can stay focused on the inspection, spend less time entering data and produce more complete service records.
Connected data for smarter decisions
Artificial Intelligence needs data in order to create value. That is why one of iGEO’s major developments is the ability to use information generated through daily operations and turn it into clearer and more useful insights.
iGEO can use information from routes, work orders, control points, alerts, technician activity and connected devices to help identify trends, anomalies and priorities.
The focus here is not solely on the IoT ecosystem, but on how connected data can feed AI systems to improve decision-making.
The process is easy to understand:
Data capture → AI analysis → Trends and alerts → Reports → Decisions
Operational data, monitoring records and signals from connected devices can all be transformed into clearer information for technical teams, operations managers and company leadership.
IoT connects the field. AI helps identify what really matters.
AI agents for sales, administration and operations
AI at iGEO is not limited to technical departments. The roadmap also includes intelligent agents designed to streamline sales, administrative and operational processes.
Sales AI agents will be able to support tasks such as prospecting, opportunity creation, quotation follow-up and sales reminders.
Administrative and operational AI agents will focus on tasks such as confirming visits, rescheduling services, monitoring payments, supporting invoicing and day-to-day coordination.
The roadmap also includes iGEO Help Desk, an intelligent assistance layer designed to help users better understand functionalities, follow processes within the platform and become more autonomous in their daily work.
AI designed for real-world operations
The key to Artificial Intelligence at iGEO is its practical approach. The aim is not to add AI simply because it is a trend, but to integrate it where it can make a real difference: planning, fieldwork, technical supervision, administrative management, sales activity and decision-making.
From route optimisation to voice-based monitoring, from automated technical reports to AI agents, iGEO is building Artificial Intelligence designed to solve real problems for real businesses.
Because in operationally intensive sectors such as pest control and environmental health, technology only makes sense when it helps companies save time, improve control and support growth.
